Payments & Reservation Policy

A deposit is required to secure your space on this journey.

All deposits and subsequent payments are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Vacations by Natashia (Destinations R Us LLC) enters into contractual agreements with hotels, safari lodges, airlines, and local operators well in advance to secure preferred rates, limited inventory, and migration positioning. These vendor agreements do not allow for refunds once funds are committed.

This structure allows me to:

• Lock in peak-season space
• Maintain competitive group pricing
• Secure private safari vehicles and premium accommodations
• Offer a structured monthly payment plan

Payment Requirements

To keep your reservation active, one of the following must occur:

• Enrollment in the monthly payment plan with timely payments
OR
• Payment in full

Monthly payments are required and must be made on schedule. Failure to remain current on payments may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of all funds paid.

Final payment is due by the stated deadline. No exceptions can be made due to vendor contractual obligations.

I strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment.

Missed Payment Policy

Timely payments are required to maintain your reservation.

If a scheduled monthly payment is not received within 7 calendar days of the due date, your reservation may be subject to cancellation at the sole discretion of Vacations by Natashia.

If cancellation occurs due to nonpayment:

• All funds previously paid remain nonrefundable and nontransferable
• Your reserved space may be released to another traveler
• Reinstatement of your reservation is not guaranteed and may be subject to availability and current pricing

Vacations by Natashia is not responsible for reminders beyond the automated payment schedule provided at booking. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure payment methods remain valid and funds are available.

Because this program operates with limited inventory, private safari vehicles, and contracted room blocks during peak migration season, consistent payment compliance is required to protect the integrity of the group experience.

If you anticipate difficulty meeting a scheduled payment, you must notify natashia@vacationsbynatashia.com prior to the due date. Requests for extensions will be considered on a case-by-case basis; however, approval is not guaranteed and standard payment policies remain in effect.

Travel Insurance Requirement

All travelers are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance immediately after booking. Because all deposits and payments for this experience are nonrefundable, travel insurance is essential to protect your investment in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

International journeys, especially safari travel involve multiple moving parts, and insurance provides financial protection and peace of mind should unexpected situations arise.

Travel insurance protects your investment in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies, trip cancellations, flight delays, lost baggage, or travel interruptions.

Your policy should include coverage for:

  • Trip cancellation or interruption

  • Medical expenses and emergency evacuation

  • Lost or delayed baggage

  • Travel delays and missed connections

I recommend purchasing insurance within 7–14 days of your initial deposit to ensure eligibility for the broadest coverage options.

While travel insurance is not included in your package price, it is one of the most important components of international travel planning.

You can purchase a recommended travel insurance policy through this link: Faye Travel Protection Quote

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Africa safe?

Tanzania is one of the most stable and tourism-supported countries in East Africa.

You will not be navigating on your own. This journey includes:

• Professional licensed safari guides
• Private 4x4 safari vehicles
• Airport meet & greet
• Coordinated transfers
• 24/7 on-ground support
• Evacuation coverage included

We travel only in established wildlife regions and reputable lodges. Safety, logistics, and guest comfort are prioritized at every stage.

Why did you choose June?

June is dry season in Tanzania, which means:

• Wildlife concentrates near water sources
• Grass is lower → easier animal viewing
• Migration herds move through the Western Serengeti
• Strong predator activity

It is considered high season because wildlife visibility and density are at their best.

What is the Great Migration?

The Great Migration is one of the most extraordinary wildlife events on Earth, millions of wildebeest and zebra moving across the Serengeti ecosystem in search of fresh grazing.

In mid-June, herds typically concentrate in the Western Serengeti near the Grumeti River, where predator interaction increases.

Wildlife movement is natural and dynamic, but this itinerary is strategically positioned to maximize viewing opportunity.

How physically demanding is this trip?

This journey is thoughtfully paced for multigenerational travelers.

• No long hiking required
• Game drives are seated
• Lodges are comfortable with ground-level rooms
• Rest days are built in (including 2 nights in Arusha)
• Zanzibar portion is relaxed beach time

Guests should be able to comfortably get in and out of safari vehicles and walk short distances on uneven terrain.

Do I need vaccinations?

If you're traveling from the United States of America, based on our route there are no mandatory vaccination requirements, however I strongly recommend consulting:
• Your physician
• A travel health clinic
• The CDC website

Travel insurance is also strongly recommended.

How much luggage can I bring?

Because we include a regional flight from the safari region to Zanzibar, soft-sided luggage is required.

Final luggage weight limits are:

• 33–55 lbs (15–25kg) in soft duffel
• Small personal carry-on allowed

Wheeled hard-shell luggage is not allowed.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. Strongly recommended.

Travel insurance protects you in case of:

• Trip cancellation
• Medical emergencies
• Travel interruption
• Lost baggage

Your deposit and subsequent payments are non-refundable per supplier policy, so insurance is essential.

What happens if migration patterns shift?

Wildlife movement is natural and dynamic.

However, this itinerary includes a migration flexibility clause that allows repositioning between Western and Central Serengeti accommodations if herd concentration shifts before departure.

This strategic flexibility protects your experience.

What if I need to cancel?

Supplier cancellation terms apply are non-refundable. A name change is possible if you find a replacement.

This is why travel insurance is strongly recommended.
